1 - 4 NOVEMBER STONELEIGH PARK

Have a Go

CYCLO TRIALS

Former British Bike Trials Champion and World Championship contender Danny Butler, his brother Ash and team-mate Ben Slinger will have their work cut out at the Show this year. When they're not performing in their Extreme Mountain Bike Show outside the main entrace, they'll be helping out in hall four with another new element of this year's Show; a Cyclo Trials try-out arena. Here, seatless bikes with various wheel sizes, similar to those used by the team will be available for anyone to have a go. A kickstart-style course will include a range of different obstacles such as limbo, see-saw and balance bar, with some optional extras thrown in for good measure.

There'll be one-on-one instruction and protective gear will be provided.

SPIDERMAN CLIMBING WALL

A new fun feature for the youngsters and young-at-heart show visitors this November is a Spiderman Climbing Wall, where climbers can move up or down, even upside-down or horizontally sideways on specially made climbing walls.

Using the super strength of rare earth metals and modern engineering, the Spiderman Climbing gear clings securely to special wall panels. Minimum weight is 20kgs and there is no minimum height restriction.

The instructors will teach the basics on the training wall to get you used to climbing with no footholds. Once you have learnt the technique you then have a go on the big wall which is five metres high.

HIGH ROPES

This one's not for the faint-hearted.

A high ropes course christened Mont Blanc, with four metre high platforms and 55 metres of activities will challenge have-a-go adventurers. The different aerial obstacles will include swinging steps, a tightrope wire, rickety bridge, wooden stirrups, high chair, crisscross walk, cargo net, rope ladder and more. Some of it may sound and look easy, but be warned, it's not!

'Adventurers' will be fully briefed and kitted out with safety helmet and harness. Minimum height is 1.1m and maximum weight 120kgs.

SUZUKI OFF-ROAD EXPERIENCE

The Suzuki Off-Road Experience will be in full swing at the Show. Using Suzuki DR-Z125 and DR-Z70 models, this is where novice riders aged six and over can get a taste of what it's like to ride.

This is always a hugely popular activity and visitors are advised to book in early on the day to secure their Experience session. Helmets and appropriate safety equipment will be provided.

TRIALS TRAINING TASTER SESSIONS

BUMPY (Birstall Urban Motorcycle Project for Youth) will be running its trials training taster sessions throughout the duration of the four-day show.

Adults of 16 years and over can try their hand at a spot of trials riding on 125cc Gas Gas machinery. The 15-minute sessions will provide one-on-one tuition and participants will have the opportunity to try out their new skills on a manageable course.

All riding equipment will be provided and the only condition is that some previous riding experience will be required. Early booking is advised.

KIDZ QUADZ

There's no need to worry about the weather when looking for ways to keep the younger family members entertained at the International Dirt Bike Show this year.

A fully-supervised and free-of-charge kids' quad riding section will be completely under cover with four-minute sessions running every day for children aged six and over. The maximum weight limit is 40kg.

Using Aeon Mini Colt 50cc quads, every participant will receive instruction, prior to riding, and helmet and eye protection will be provided. Children will be required to have arms and legs covered although overalls can be provided if necessary.

There will be four quads on the track at any one time and a queuing system will be adopted.

RACE THE STIG

The Top Gear Experience is a new mobile truck unit touring the UK, Ireland and Europe and between 3rd to 6th November it will be at Stoneleigh Park. Utilising the technology of simulation you'll be put in some of the most up to date supercars. Using original BBC footage and presented in full HD you'll feel the full force of acceleration, slick gear changes and phenomenal breaking. There is a modest cost of £3.50 per ride.
