A WINNING WAY WITH THE INTERNATIONAL DIRT BIKE SHOW

Shaun Lunn from Bordon, Hants is the lucky winner of the 2010 Dirt Bike Show visitor survey competition.

45-year-old Shaun's entry was selected at random from the thousands of forms completed and posted throughout the duration of the four-day show, with a brand new pukka enduro Rieju MRT450 Pro worth in the region of £6000 as the star prize.

A committed show regular and dirt bike riding enthusiast, Shaun was astonished to hear that he had won the bike. "To be honest, what with Christmas and everything else, I had forgotten about entering the competition and thought it was a prank when I picked up the message. A call to the Dirt Bike Show team confirmed that I had indeed won and I was over the moon. I've taken part in enduro, hare and hounds and rallies, and also enjoy trail riding and adventure trips in the Sahara. I've shied away from competition in recent years due to injury, but I'm looking forward to getting back in the saddle and taking part in enduros again this year. The Rieju will be the perfect machine to get reacquainted with the competitive scene."

Handing over the machine, show organiser Joanne Watson said, "I'd like to thank all the show visitors who took the time to complete a survey form. The winner announcement was slightly delayed due to the sheer volume of entries we had to process. We're pleased that Shaun intends to make good use of the bike and look forward to welcoming him and all off-road enthusiasts to this year's show when we return to Stoneleigh Park in November. We have some exciting big names, visitor-participation activities and new entertainment plans under development for the 2011 event, and we are also working on further competitions. Watch this space."
